Biography
Julie is a Partner in RSM’s People advisory services team and she leads the Employment Tax team in the North. Julie is based in the Manchester office and supports clients with all aspects of UK employment taxes. She has particular expertise advising our clients on expenses and benefits, off payroll labour, termination payments and the Construction Industry Scheme. Her work also involves dealing with HMRC disclosures and reviews, including advice on employment tax aspects of senior accounting officer (SAO), Know your Customer (KYC) and traditional PAYE audits.
Julie is the national lead on National Minimum Wage and supports clients who are either already going through HMRC NMW audits, or proactively reviewing their processes to identify and mitigate risk areas.
Prior to joining RSM in February 2020, Julie worked in the big four for nearly 15 years advising on employment tax issues.
Julie regularly presents at industry specific events and also liaises with the HMRC policy team around sector specific points of interest.
