Biography
Katie is an audit partner based in the Glasgow office. She works primarily with corporate clients, advising them on statutory audit, assurance and financial reporting. She has experience of working with a variety of clients, including owner managed and family businesses, PE-backed entities and large complex international groups.
Katie joined RSM in May 2020 having previously spent 18 years with KPMG, predominantly within audit. She specialises in several sectors including real estate and construction, manufacturing and transport and logistics.
Katie is a board member and member of the Audit and Risk Committee for ENABLE Scotland.
When asked what motivates her, Katie says:
"No two days are the same. I’ve always enjoyed the fact that I can be working with a small owner managed business one day and a large international group the next. I like to really understand the businesses I work with so that I can deliver pragmatic solutions to the technical accounting issues they’re facing."
Working with different clients and teams within RSM keeps Katie motivated – and so does trying to juggle the demands of her two daughters.
