Biography
Ian has audited organisations with a range of complexity, from small companies through to larger more complicated groups with international operations and varied funding structures. He is experienced in audit and accounting (UK GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP) and deals including IPOs and fundraising.
Ian has worked with businesses across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, leisure and hospitality, retail, the consumer markets industry more generally, and property.
He offers support and advice to businesses based on a good understanding of their organisation, the sector and the objectives of management, owners and other stakeholders. Ian has worked with a number of highly ambitious and developing businesses. He uses his commercial experience to understand what drives value, discuss how risks can be managed, help identify opportunities for improvement and help embed good financial management and disciplines.
Ian works closely with RSM’s tax teams and other specialists to ensure tailored support is there when it is needed.
Ian has 19 years of experience working in a big four firm and joined RSM in 2018.
