Biography

Since graduating from university, Erin has spent her career working in fraud prevention and detection. She works with a wide variety of not for profit and corporate organisations to consider their approaches to fraud. This can include criminal or HR investigations; proactive detection reviews; focused whistleblowing health checks; bribery act compliance reviews; as well as bespoke training. Being a fraud specialist, she can understand the structure, systems, and processes within an organisation to quickly identify any areas that might be susceptible to fraud or bribery, then work with clients to put in place mitigating measures to prevent and detect such activities.

Erin enjoys learning and developing a deep understanding of her clients so that she can work with them on their business journey. Her naturally inquisitive nature and role as a fraud specialist gives her the skills to explore all aspects of clients’ challenges, and work with them to determine which solutions will have the biggest impact.

In 2022, Erin was selected to the firm’s Industry Eminence Program, which positions its analysts to understand, forecast and communicate economic, business and technology trends shaping the various industries RSM serves. As a senior analyst covering the financial services industry, Erin works alongside the firm’s chief economist and other program participants in the United Kingdom and the United States to analyse trends and themes affecting companies in the middle market. 

Within RSM, Erin is part of our managers on the graduate group, who has helped facilitate a valuable rotation program.  Recently, Erin has also been selected as an Employee Voice Champion, a network of employees who support RSM UK to identify and implement improvements across all aspects of life at RSM UK. Erin is also part of our Birmingham corporate responsibility group and Consulting Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group.

Erin has a first class law degree with honours. She is also an Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist by the University of Portsmouth and a Certified Counter Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

When asked about what motivates her in her role, Erin says:

" As cliché as it sounds, I get my energy from making a difference. Within RSM, our great teamwork and how we navigate through the complexities of the changing threat of fraud and technology allows us to be a trusted advisor. "

In her spare time, Erin likes to play sport, keep fit at the gym, go for hikes, volunteer for Waste Savvy Staffs to promote reducing food waste and she is also involved with in her residents’ association. Outside of this, she is kept very busy with her young son.
