Biography

Rajiv is a partner in the London private client team at RSM. He deals with a wide range of issues relating to high net worth private clients including non UK domiciled individuals, inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax planning and international tax issues facing inbound/outbound individuals. He also gets involved in advisory work for partnerships, both in the UK and overseas, and has a particular focus on the US markets. Rajiv works closely with RSM colleagues around the world, delivering a seamless and coordinated cross border service for clients. Rajiv also has knowledge of gifts with reservation of benefit and residential property overseas.

Rajiv joined the London private client team at RSM in October 2011. Before joining RSM he previously spent 15 years at two of the Big Four accountancy firms, where he also worked in their respective private client teams.

Rajiv regularly writes articles for publication and presents on topics including the taxation of non UK domiciled individuals, residence and other topical issues.

When asked what gets him out of bed in the morning, Rajiv says: 

No two days are the same and I am always learning, especially international aspects of tax. I enjoy meeting existing and new clients and helping clients achieve their goals either in the UK or internationally. I also enjoy helping our staff progress to reach their full potential, which is why I am part of RSM’s mentoring programme.

Outside work Rajiv enjoys going to the gym, cycling and running. He also like travelling and seeing new places. He is married with three children.
