About Eleanor Corkhill

Eleanor Corkhill is an Associate Director in our forensic and investigation services team.

She is passionate about dispute-related forensic accountancy, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail.

Eleanor has experience with accounting and quantum matters relating to civil litigation and regulatory oversight. Typical cases include early-stage or pre-dispute advisory services, as well as expert witness engagements.

Eleanor’s dispute services include loss of profits/consequential loss claims, claims against directors, claims for breach of contract, professional negligence matters, shareholder and transaction-related disputes, and contentious business valuations (including those arising in matrimonial contexts).

Eleanor has worked with clients across a wide range of industries, including financial services, professional practice, logistics, retail, construction, and general commercial sectors. She has assisted with mediation and attended the High Court as an adviser to the legal team in support of an expert witness.

Eleanor joined RSM (Baker Tilly at the time) straight out of university as part of the graduate scheme. She spent her early career in external audit while undertaking the chartered accountancy exams. In that time, Eleanor worked across a large variety of industries with clients of varying sizes, giving her a broad and valuable perspective.

Eleanor undertook a secondment to the forensic and investigation services team to support a large audit negligence case. She enjoyed the work so much that this became a permanent placement, and she has not looked back, developing her range of dispute experience.

"I have a desire to use my knowledge and experience in a meaningful way. This led me to forensics and in particular disputes. I enjoy using accounting principles to help bring clarity to stressful situations, working closely with legal teams to provide insight and quantify issues."

Outside of work, Eleanor enjoys going out for a walk in the woods, cycling, or gardening at home, especially when the sun is shining. In the winter, Eleanor enjoys curling up with a good book, when her very active young son allows!
