RSM UK bolsters risk and governance team with two new partners

Leading audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has announced two new senior hires in its risk and governance team, with the appointment of Krishna Iyer and Charlotte Bilsland as partners.

Krishna has over 20 years’ experience in driving growth, innovation and transformation in the technology, professional and business services, and financial services industry. He joins RSM from EY where he led global account teams for a range of FTSE 250 clients and delivered projects in technology assurance, cloud, cyber security and internal audit transformation. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at PwC.
Charlotte is a chartered accountant, with over 17 years’ experience in internal audit and risk consultancy across the public sector, in particular local government and higher education. She joins from PwC and specialises in developing risk-based assurance strategies, assurance mapping, designing and implementing audit methodology, devolution readiness reviews and service transformation.

At RSM, Krishna will lead the firm’s technology and cyber risk offering across London and the South East. He and Charlotte will help to drive forward RSM’s well-established assurance and advisory services and utilise their expertise to support clients to confidently scale, innovate and meet regulatory needs.

Krishna Iyer, Technology Risk Partner at RSM UK, said: “I’m thrilled to join RSM and take a leading role in growing its technology risk and governance practice. The firm’s values of integrity, care and long-term thinking are something I feel particularly aligned with - offering a strong foundation for me to make a lasting, positive impact in my new role.”

Charlotte Bilsland, Risk and Governance partner at RSM UK said: “Excellence in risk and governance services comes as much from how we work as what we deliver. Integrity, impactful innovation and collaboration sit at the core of all that RSM does, and I believe this is crucial for building lasting client relationships and leading successful teams. I’m excited to be part of a partnership that not only recognises these qualities, but actively embeds them into the culture of its teams.”

Alex Tait, Head of Risk and Governance at RSM UK added: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Krishna and Charlotte to the team. They are fantastic additions to our risk and governance practice as we continue to grow, offering a wealth of experience and specialist expertise.
