About Charlotte Bilsland

Charlotte is a Risk and Governance Partner based in our Gatwick office. She is a chartered accountant, specialising in internal audit and risk consultancy to the public sector, in particular local government and higher education.

She specialises in developing and delivering risk-based assurance strategies and plans, assurance mapping, designing and implementing internal audit methodology, devolution readiness reviews and service transformation. She has extensive experience of running large cross-organisation shared service assurance arrangements and leading teams, including direct experience as a Head of Internal Audit and Counter Fraud.

Charlotte has a passion for delivering commercial assurance services and supporting clients to extract more value from contracts and third-party transactions. Her expertise includes contract management compliance audits, developing cross-organisation contract management approaches and supplier verification audits.

Charlotte lives in Sussex with her husband and three young children and is a passionate advocate for working parents. Outside of work, she enjoys National Trust adventures, sipping babyccinos and train spotting at the local steam railway. When she isn’t going on ‘bear hunts’, Charlotte enjoys swimming, travelling, very amateur cake decorating and getting lost in a good book.
