RSM UK advises on sale of Gloucestershire-based care homes
Leading audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has advised on the sale of two co-located care homes and a suite of 11 independent living apartments, collectively known as The Hollies, with Care UK taking over the leadership and management of the homes.
The Hollies is a luxury care home community based in Dursley, Gloucestershire, which includes the Hollies Nursing Care Home, Holly Oak Dementia Care Home, and The Woodlands Apartments. The two homes consist of 104 rooms to support residents with a variety of needs, providing the highest level of nursing, respite and end-of-life care, as well as extensive care from the early stages through to the later stages of dementia.
Care UK has over 40 years’ experience of providing award-winning, high-quality care for elderly people. Care UK now operates 165 homes across England, Scotland and Wales and has the highest care quality rating of all large providers in the country.
The change in management follows the retirement of The Hollies’ former owners, Jonathan and Kaye Hawkins, who built up and ran the sites for 17 years. RSM UK advised Jonathan and Kaye in the transaction, led by Corporate Finance Director Stephanie Wilson, with support from Lucy Roberts, Ryan Keen and Josh Kunz.
