RSM announces senior promotions in the Midlands

Leading audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has announced Sheetal Sanghvi as its new managing partner in Birmingham and the Midlands region, and Mitul Raja as managing partner in the East Midlands.

Sheetal, formerly managing partner in the East Midlands, will be taking over from Helen Brocklebank, who has been appointed RSM UK’s head of Deal Services, after becoming national head of M&A earlier this year. Sheetal will oversee offices across the Midlands, East of England and Milton Keynes, totalling 50 partners and 765 staff.

Sheetal has been with RSM for over 20 years after joining as an audit assistant in 2005, progressing through the ranks to become partner. She specialises in innovation and capital tax reliefs, with extensive experience advising businesses on making research and development and patent box claims. As regional managing partner, Sheetal will build upon the strength, growth and team culture in the region.

Mitul will oversee both RSM’s Leicester and Nottingham offices, ensuring continued consistency across its solutions for clients in the East Midlands. Mitul has over 20 years’ experience in audit, with his portfolio mainly consisting of large corporates, including various private equity backed businesses.

In addition, RSM has announced four promotions to director in the region, including Joe Hessey in audit (Nottingham), both Jana Klir (Birmingham) and Hayley Quigley (Cambridge) in corporate tax, and Jonathan Everitt in consulting (Milton Keynes).

Sheetal Sanghvi, regional managing partner in the Midlands at RSM UK, said: “I’m delighted to take on the role of managing partner for the Central region. Having spent my whole career at RSM and worked closely with teams across the region for many years, I know how much talent, ambition, and commitment we have within our business. This is demonstrated by our latest round of director promotions. I’d like to thank Helen for her outstanding leadership and the significant contribution she has made to the region. I’m excited about the opportunity ahead and look forward to working with our teams to support our clients, develop our people and drive the continued growth in the region.”

Mitul Raja, managing partner in the East Midlands at RSM UK, added: “Taking on the managing partner role in the East Midlands is a real honour and an exciting next step during my career at RSM. I’m committed to building upon the strong momentum in the region, by working closely with our talented teams and investing in our expertise and capabilities, so that we can continue to achieve exceptional outcomes for both our clients and our people.”

Helen Brocklebank, partner and head of deal services at RSM UK, comments: “Sheetal has done a fantastic job leading our East Midlands region, so I have no doubt she will do the same as regional managing partner in the Midlands. It’s been brilliant to oversee the team over the last three years and I’m proud of the growth and progress that we’ve made during that time. I’d like to wish both Sheetal and Mitul the best of luck in their new roles and look forward to seeing the region continue to go from strength to strength under their leadership.”
