Our M&A team has successfully advised the shareholders of Route One Infrastructure on the sale of the business to Carnell Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Renew Holdings, an AIM-listed PLC. The transaction builds on Carnell’s position as a leading infrastructure provider in the UK, adding bridge joint specialism capabilities to its wide-ranging service portfolio and accelerating its growth ambitions.

The client

Route One Infrastructure is a structures maintenance specialist working in highways infrastructure, headquartered in Pontefract. Route One Infrastructure was founded in 2005 by shareholders Matthew Pert and Gary Credland and has grown to become a leading bridge and structures contractor and maintenance specialist in the UK. The business is a trusted provider to the National Highways Network.

We were engaged by the shareholders to carry out a bespoke focused sale process, preparing the business for sale. The team carried out a thorough assessment of the market for potential acquirers and supported the business through due diligence and negotiating and advising on a successful completion to the deal.
