RSM UK has advised on the sale of Barwick Bathroom Distribution LLP (‘Barwick’) to TPA Capital, a UK private equity firm.

The client

Barwick is a leading distributor of quality branded bathroom products sold into retailers. The business has established a reputation for providing high service levels and has grown to be one of the biggest names in the UK bathroom market. Based in Yorkshire, Barwick represents many of the top bathroom brands, with strong established relationships and has become a brand in its own right.

TPA Capital, a UK-based private equity firm with a portfolio of UK and international businesses, will work with the management team to build on the history of strong trading, with several exciting growth opportunities in the pipeline. The business was acquired from Michael Barwick, John Barwick and Richard Bower, the co-founders and Finance Director, respectively.

What RSM did

RSM acted as lead advisors, assisting the owners of Barwick to achieve their sale aspirations. This included preparing the Information Memorandum, identifying and approaching buyers and investors, leading key negotiations and project managing all aspects of the transaction through to completion.
