About Mike Cooper

Mike Cooper is a Corporate Tax Partner with over 25 years of experience working with larger listed and multinational groups, advising on complex international tax issues. He builds long-term relationships with clients, working closely with boards and heads of tax to understand their strategic priorities and commercial objectives.

This wider perspective allows Mike to connect his clients to the right expertise from across RSM to develop practical, coordinated solutions that support growth, manage risk, and deliver sustainable value.

Mike previously worked for a Big Four firm, where his client portfolio included numerous FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 groups. He has a track record of leading international projects, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, intellectual property and business model transformation. He also has significant experience in leading multidisciplinary teams across jurisdictions, and managing the varied, interdependent requirements of such projects.

That understanding allows me to anticipate challenges and bring ideas that I know will genuinely add value. I also find leading and developing high-performing teams incredibly rewarding. Supporting others to grow and progress in their careers is something I take real pride in.”

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, live music, and getting out into the countryside with his dog.
