Hannah Cole is an experienced Director within our Finance Function Support team, where she leads on delivering expert accounting advisory services to clients navigating complex transactions or transitioning between accounting frameworks. Her deep technical knowledge and practical insight make her a trusted advisor.

As a key member of RSM’s Private Equity team, Hannah plays a pivotal role in supporting portfolio company finance functions throughout the investment lifecycle. She provides guidance during transactions and periods of accelerated growth, helping finance teams adapt and thrive in dynamic environments.

Hannah’s expertise spans IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP, enabling her to offer comprehensive financial reporting advice tailored to the needs of diverse businesses. Her experience includes a secondment as Group Financial Controller to a Tokyo-listed software development Group, giving her first-hand insight into the operational pressures of leading a finance function while managing transactions and integrating acquisitions.

Known for her approachable and solutions-focused style, Hannah excels at translating complex technical accounting issues into clear, actionable insights for management teams. Her background in audit at a Big Four firm ensures her advice is not only practical but also robust under scrutiny.

Beyond her client work, Hannah is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. She was a founding champion of RSM’s Empower women’s network and has led initiatives such as International Women’s Day celebrations and a national donations drive for SmartWorks.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys playing netball and exploring the countryside with her family.
