About David Hawley

David is the Office Managing Partner for the Chester and Liverpool offices and the firm’s National Head of Private Business. In this leadership role, he works closely with ambitious founders, private business owners and family owned enterprises, drawing on his career long experience supporting clients through the unique challenges and opportunities they face, and ensuring we bring all our audit, tax and consulting solutions to our clients.

As Office Managing Partner, David oversees the strategic growth and market profile of the Liverpool and Chester offices. Internally, he focuses on nurturing a positive, high performing culture while ensuring the team enjoys their work along the way.

Alongside these responsibilities, David is also a Tax Partner advising corporates, owner managed businesses and entrepreneurs across sectors including media and technology, life sciences, manufacturing and retail. His work spans both business and shareholder matters, providing holistic tax advice that aligns personal goals with commercial ambitions.

David is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CIOT) and Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf and following Manchester City.
