RSM UK has advised on the sale of Control Valve Services to UK-based industrial and infrastructure maintenance group Coriant, backed by H.I.G. Capital.
Control Valve Services limited is an independent specialist control valve maintenance service provider. Based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, it provides round-the-clock expertise in control valve maintenance to sectors including energy and nuclear. The company offers a full spectrum of services including control valve servicing, diagnostics and repairs, and works with a network of trusted suppliers to help customers meet their control valve requirements.
Coriant is a UK-based industrial and infrastructure maintenance services group, backed by private equity firm H.I.G. Capital. It delivers installation, maintenance, refurbishment and decommissioning services for critical industry and infrastructure, operating across a wide variety of sectors. Coriant combines specialist capabilities and expertise in engineering, delivery, design and innovation to help maintain and extend the life of critical assets.
This strategic acquisition will allow the combined entity to enter a new stage of growth, combining Control Valve Service’s specialist expertise with Coriant’s established presence across adjacent critical infrastructure. The sale also offers a significant opportunity to build on existing customer relationships across a broad spectrum of end-markets, enhancing delivery integration and overall service capabilities.
RSM UK advised Control Valve Services shareholders throughout the transaction, led by consulting director James Atkinson alongside Jonny Bywater, Beth Woodings and Matthew Beck from the M&A advisory team. The RSM UK tax team also advised the shareholders, led by Chris Etherington and Kate Clews.
The shareholders of Control Valve Services were also advised by the corporate team from national law firm Clarion with a team comprising Nicola Cooper, Jonathan Schneider and Jonathan Simms.
