David Hathaway Transport – steering in the right direction

30 April 2019

Our M&A and private equity team has successfully advised on the sale of David Hathaway Transport (DHT) to Kinaxia Logistics (Kinaxia).

The client

DHT, a freight, logistics, and storage company, was founded by David Hathaway in 1976 and is today run by his three sons from their main office in Yate in Gloucestershire, employing 120 staff across two sites.

This deal marks Kinaxia Logistics 12th acquisition in seven years, and as with the rest of the companies within Kinaxia's haulage and warehouse group, DHT will keep operating under its current name, and management will remain the same, securing continuity for customers and staff.

RSM's solution

We were engaged to support DHT through the negotiations, due diligence, and legal process as well as providing transaction tax advice to the shareholders.

Transaction team: Ian Wherry, Mark Colling, and Rhys Jennings.

Testimonial

‘I would like to extend my thanks to Ian Wherry and his team for their hard work and professionalism in getting the deal over the line.’
