UK City of Culture 2017

The prize was awarded to Hull by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, following a successful bid process which RSM was pleased to support. As Bid Angels we got behand the bid and pledged our support to secure this huge prize.

Hull UK City of Culture is a year-long programme of cultural events and activity throughout 2017 and creativity inspired by the city and told to the world. Organisations and events include the Turner Prize, the British Museum, Brighton Festival, Hallé Orchestra, LIFT, London Sinfonietta, National Gallery, National Galleries of Scotland, National Portrait Gallery, Opera North, PRS, Royal Institute of British Architects, Royal Collection, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Shakespeare Company, Serious, Southbank Centre Tate and many more.

To show our commitment to the city of Hull we got behind the bid and pledged our support to secure this huge prize along with other businesses in the city.

The involvement of businesses in the bid was the deciding factor for the judges to award Hull the City of Culture status. RSM and the other Bid Angels even won an award

We are working with other like-minded businesses in the city to bring about change, this is an exciting time for Hull and we are proud to be part of it.
