About Tiaan Fourie

Tiaan Fourie is an experienced Director within our Finance Function Support team, where he leads on delivering expert accounting advisory services to clients navigating complex transactions or transitioning between accounting frameworks. His deep technical knowledge and practical insight make him a trusted adviser.

Before joining RSM, Tiaan spent several years at PwC South Africa – initially within audit before taking up a role in technical accounting. While at PwC, he completed two short-term secondments – a six-month period in the US and a five-month period in the Netherlands. He also worked in industry as a financial manager for a technology start-up and he was a lecturer at the University of the Free State on a contract basis.

“It is clichéd to say that accounting is the language of business, but clichés exist for a reason. As with any language, the messaging is key to being understood as intended. I enjoy my role to help businesses ensure that their message hard work and performance is communicated in the most effective and efficient way to enable stakeholders to make decisions on the back of useful, accurate, and trustworthy information.”

Outside of work, Tiaan has a keen interest in computing and computer systems and is known to partake in adrenaline activities such as abseiling from Table Mountain and a 9000ft tandem skydive.
