About Thorin Ward
Thorin Ward is a highly experienced Director in the deal services transaction services team, based in our Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Leicester offices. Since 2014, he has specialised in due diligence, with a particular focus on mid-market corporate transactions.
Thorin is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds the ICAEW corporate finance qualification.
Thorin joined RSM in 1996 and has been working in the corporate finance team since 2000. During his corporate finance career, he has worked on a wide range of corporate transactions, including sale and acquisition mandates, management buy-outs and due diligence for corporate acquirers, private equity, banks and corporate vendors. Thorin regularly helps clients negotiate and structure the completion mechanics for their transactions.
Asked why he is passionate about his job, Thorin says:
'I have a strong natural interest in understanding what makes my clients tick and the key issues affecting their businesses and their acquisition targets, both now and in the future. The breadth of my experience with UK and overseas clients and targets enables me to provide expert advice and support my clients to achieve the best possible results for them.'
Life outside of work
Outside of RSM, Thorin enjoys playing the guitar in a pop/rock band, record collecting, and going to gigs, with occasional visits to the gym.
