About Nicola Whitmarsh

Nicola is an Associate Director in the Financial Accounting and Advisory Specialist team with over 20 years’ experience at RSM. She supports clients across a wide range of financial reporting matters, from preparing audit-ready accounting papers to advising on group reorganisations, with a particular interest in complex reporting challenges.

Known for her ‘blue sky’ thinking approach, Nicola brings clarity to unusual and complex transactions, particularly within the not-for-profit and public sectors, presenting solutions in a clear and practical way.

In 2024, Nicola joined the inaugural Industry Skills Acceleration Programme (ISAP), specialising in the not-for-profit sector. Through the programme and close collaboration with sector specialists, she continues to deepen her insight into the opportunities and challenges facing organisations, enabling her to deliver valuable, sector-focused advice.
