Biography
Mark is the Head of Internal audit at RSM and leads a team of over 200 internal audit and risk management specialists. Mark works to ensure that the team deliver client excellence and always put the client and integrity first.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in internal audit and risk management having worked in the corporate and not for profit sectors. His, and the wider team’s clients therefore benefit from Mark’s horizon scanning, problem solving and strategic input.
Mark acts as head of internal audit and regularly provides control and strategic risk management advice and training to senior executives and non-executives. Mark has particular expertise in the social housing, local government, central government, NHS and education sectors.
Before joining the firm Mark specialised in internal audit delivery and management and more general consultancy work. He has held previous roles as head of internal audit for a large unitary authority and a county council and through his career has gained extensive internal audit and more general consultancy experience within both the corporate and not for profit sector and particularly within local government.
