Biography

As a director in RSM’s debt advisory team, Liane helps business leaders to access bespoke funding solutions that are structured to fund their growth or recovery strategy.

Liane supports her clients to refinance debt on better terms and with headroom for growth, where needed, raise debt to fund strategic transactions, and leverage assets which mainstream lenders may not deem as fundable. Liane achieves this through knowing the debt market and maintaining a large network of relationships with debt providers, banks and PE houses.

Liane has experience across a multitude of sectors including manufacturing and wholesale.

Previous career experience After her economics degree, Liane was a tax adviser with a Big 4 accountancy firm, advising FTSE100s on tax compliance. In 2010, Liane moved to Barclays, where she provided turnaround support and served as a mid-corporate relationship director.

Liane later joined HSBC where she managed a portfolio of international importers and exporters and subsequently led complex confidential invoice discounting facilities, specialising in funding international sales for UK-based exporters.

When asked what motivates Liane in her working life, she says:

'I love helping business leaders overcome liquidity challenges, to achieve their goals and aspirations.'

Outside of work, Liane enjoys life in the countryside with her husband, two young children, dogs, and chickens. She is also a keen horse rider.

If she had any spare time, it would be spent horse riding and doing Mensa puzzles (not at the same time).
