About Laura Schmuttermeier
Laura Schmuttermeier is a risk, compliance and governance partner based in London. Her focus is on adding value to businesses by finding pragmatic solutions that align with their objectives. She understands the importance of this due to having previously worked in-house at a UK based telecoms business as director of risk, compliance and data privacy.
Laura previously worked at Deloitte where she focussed on the technology, media and telecoms industry but as a subject matter specialist worked across many sectors. She has advised a variety of clients ranging from the FTSE 100 to private equity and privately owned companies.
Laura works closely with RSM’s business transformation team to incorporate risk management, compliance and governance into transformation projects or alternatively provide ongoing assurance over the programme.
Laura has a legal background having studied law in Austria as well as Australia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Outside work Laura enjoys challenging herself and her dog by competing in agility. She also loves to play tennis and experiments in the kitchen, with varying success. Laura has always been a keen traveller and keeps exploring the world.
