Jason is Director in RSM's Customs and International Trade team. He is a customs specialist with over 30 years experience in international trade and during this time, has not only advised developing countries on customs related issues, but has delivered training courses worldwide, including to both the Georgian Customs service in Tblisi and the Nigerian Customs Service in Lagos.
In a previous capacity, Jason represented his company on a World Customs Organisation working group for capacity building and pre-shipment inspection and since joining the Big 4 has been heavily involved in the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) scheme as well as advising clients on best practice with regards to controls, procedures and quality assurance in the customs environment generally, especially in the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) arena.
Jason has worked on producing customs compliance frameworks, investigations and due-diligence reviews, setting up IPR systems, producing feasibility studies on customs warehousing, has advised companies on duty savings issues, pre-shipment inspection, container scanning and delivered AEO end-to-end projects and gap analysis’. He advises businesses across a range of industries, where he has assisted in the implementation of various duty relief schemes.
