Biography

Jamie is a Restructuring Advisory Partner with over 20 years' experience of advising and helping underperforming and distressed businesses.

He helps businesses by spotting symptoms of distress, diagnosing problems and prescribing solutions to ensure that the various stakeholders' interests are protected in the best way possible in the circumstances.

Typically he provides advice to secured lenders, shareholders and company directors in the SME market, helping them to address the difficulties they face in a professional and empathetic manner.

As well as business turnaround, options and restructuring advice, Jamie deals with all types of formal insolvency appointments including administrations (trading and non-trading) and solvent and insolvent liquidations.

Jamie has worked across various industry sectors throughout my career, including manufacturing, property, leisure and hospitality, retail, construction and haulage. He is also part of RSM's Manufacturing Sector Specialism team in Leeds.

When asked why he enjoys his job, Jamie says:

Everyday provides an opportunity for me to help people – whether it’s turning businesses around, saving jobs, returning money to creditors and shareholders or simply making the best out of a difficult situation, it remains challenging and rewarding in equal measure. I wouldn’t do the job if it wasn’t!

Life outside of work is pretty simple for Jamie – family, football and music. He is kept busy by his two ‘lively’ boys, was a former semi-professional footballer of 10 years and lead guitarist in a rock and roll band leaving him no time for anything else!
