About James Zuurbier
James Zuurbier is a Deal Services Director in our transaction services team, specialising in supporting multinational corporates and global private equity funds within the financial services industry. He is also the co-lead in the firm’s financial services industry group.
James has 15 years’ experience in financial services transactions, specialising in due diligence on acquisition and divestiture scenarios. His last role was at EY in the financial services transactions team, where he spent seven years working on deals in banking, lending, wealth and asset management, and insurance. Prior to EY, James worked in various finance teams at Barclays for five years, where he was involved in some of their business disposals as they went through their 'non-core' programme. He qualified as an ACA at KPMG in Banking Audit.

I enjoy helping colleagues and clients cut through some of the complexity in the industry and working alongside them to achieve their goals.”
James lives in South London with his wife and son. He is a keen sports enthusiast, spending his time cycling, running, skiing and scuba diving whenever possible. He is also a keen traveller, having visited almost 70 countries. He is a big music fan and has been to Glastonbury 11 (or 12) times – he’s lost count!
