David is a chartered accountant specialising in audit, assurance and risk management services and is highly regarded in the area of dispute resolution and for his expertise as a corporate finance adviser. He provides clear and straightforward solutions to problems.

His audit and advisory clients range from public sector to private sector organisations, from SMEs to large international companies with subsidiaries in Ireland.

David is a member of the institute of internal auditors, and leads the provision of internal audit and risk management services to a number of public and private sector clients throughout Ireland. David sits on a number of public sector audit and risk committees and advises on corporate governance issues.

David has previously been a member of the ethics committee of the institute of chartered accountants and a joint secretary of the institute of chartered accountants.

David was previously a partner in charge of corporate finance services at a big four firm. Prior to that, he served as a director of corporate banking in the investment bank of Ireland.

His corporate finance activities have included:

  • sales and acquisitions;
  • due diligence;
  • dispute resolution;
  • investigations;
  • raising finance;
  • stock exchange and share valuations; and
  • business plans and business advice.

David is an economics graduate of Queens’s university Belfast and a qualified Speech and Drama teacher. David has been actively involved in his local community over the years, has been on the Board of Governors of his local grammar school in Bangor for over 25 years and was previously a parent governor of Glenola Collegiate School, also in Bangor and Beachlawn School, Hillsborough. He is Chair of Coylumbridge Highland Lodges Club.
