David is a Director in the Employer Solutions team, specialising in cross-border employment. He has advised companies that have internationally mobile workforces with regard to the more formal nature of global tax and social security compliance, tax efficient structuring of assignments, tax policy design and implementation, and business traveller risks. As the way people work continues to evolve, so does the nature of his work. In addition to the above, David now supports businesses with challenges arising from international commuting, international and remote working, and all other facets of cross-border employment.
Throughout his career David has worked on a wide ranging portfolio of clients, with a particular focus on the sport, higher education and life science sectors. His experience covers large multinational groups (including FTSE 100 and FTSE 250), to start-ups and everything in between.
Asked what motivates him, David says:
"Mobility and cross-border employment taxes cover a number of vastly complex areas. My job is to articulate the challenges that exist in a way the client understands, and to then to offer a choice of solutions so the client can select those that best support the future growth and sustainability of their business. It’s hugely rewarding to work with clients on achieving their goals."
Outside of work, David is a father of two and a family man. A keen cyclist and runner, he also enjoys following his football team around the country with his son.
