Biography

Chris is a restructuring advisory partner based in our Manchester office. He provides business owners, banks and asset-based lenders (ABLs) with advice and support in delivering solutions. This ranges from assisting with funding and cashflow problems to advising on options, more formal restructurings and accelerated acquisitions and disposals (AMAs). Chris is ACA and JIEB-qualified.

Chris works in a time-critical environment (normally driven by cashflow) where directors and lenders are wanting guidance and advice on their options. Chris is responsive in his approach, thinks well on his feet, and will focus on the key issues to help find the right solution. He enjoys the variety of sectors he comes across and the people and personalities who he meets.

“I work collaboratively with management, lenders and investors and like to understand the issues that businesses are facing to help deliver options and practical advice. It can be stressful for many owners when they face financial problems. However, my role is to bring an element of calmness and clarity to help them find solutions. I get a real buzz when I can safeguard jobs and see the business flourish in the future.”

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active. You’ll find him walking with the dog, running, cycling and playing the occasional round of golf. He is also a Leeds fan, which can be very stressful.
