About Andy Monteith

Andy has been a partner at RSM for almost 20 years and is a specialist in audit, assurance, and financial reporting. He supports a wide variety of clients, drawing on his deep technical expertise and industry knowledge.

Andy works across a number of industries but has a particular focus on real estate, construction and infrastructure where he has over 20 years experience, many of which he served as our National Head of Construction, enabling him to build a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by businesses in the industry.

Andy is also recognised as one of the firm’s leading experts in the gaming industry, advising both land-based casinos and online operators.

Throughout his career, Andy has worked closely with private family businesses, many with international operations, as well as large private-equity backed businesses. His pragmatic, hands-on approach is valued by clients, who appreciate his practical insights and commercial focus.

After many years in London, Andy recently relocated to the North West, where he is a key member of RSM’s thriving regional team while continuing to support clients across the UK.

Helping people develop and reach their potential is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, whether that’s supporting our teams to grow or helping clients to realise their ambitions, mitigate risks, seize opportunities and maximise value. The fact that I learn something new every day is one of the key things that gets me out of bed.”

With a large family of seven children and stepchildren, much of my time outside work is spent with them – often on the sidelines, cheering them on at their various sporting activities. When I am lucky enough to have free time, I enjoy live music, making the regular pilgrimage to Old Trafford to watch Man Utd, and discovering new restaurants.
