Ten companies from the United Kingdom have been named as finalists and Ruban d’Honneur recipients in the 2015/16 European Business Awards sponsored by RSM. The awards are designed to recognise and promote business success and support the development of a stronger business community throughout Europe.
The finalists were chosen from 678 National Champions by a panel of judges which included European business and political leaders, academics and entrepreneurs.
The ten finalists from the UK are:
- Thomson Reuters, London
- WykeFarms, Somerset
- Gamma Telecom Limited, Newbury
- Norse Group, Norwich
- BJSS, London
- Naylor Industries plc, Barnsley
- Edge Hill University, Ormskirk
- Diamond Logistics, Guildford
- The Gym Group, London
- Peel Ports, across UK
The judges will now carry out face-to-face interviews with each of the 110 finalists from across Europe in order to decide the overall 11 category winners, which will be announced at the European Business Awards Gala event in June.
David Gwilliam, Chief Operating Officer at RSM, said:
‘To have so many companies from the UK in the competition at this late stage is a fantastic achievement, and demonstrates the unique contribution each of these businesses has brought to the awards.
‘I congratulate all the businesses for getting this far, and wish them the very best of luck in the next stage of the competition.’
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM, said:
‘At RSM, we help middle market companies to operate in the increasingly complex and rapidly changing global business landscape. The Ruban d’Honneurs are typical of those companies that our member firms work with on a daily basis, and so it is encouraging to see their growth and prosperity. We wish them well in the third and final round of judging and look forward to announcing the overall category winners at the Gala Event.’
