RSM UK has advised The Health & Safety Group Ltd on its sale to private equity backed Impact Futures Group, the UK training provider for health, social care, childcare and early years, education and youth services.
Established in 2004, The Health & Safety Group is a UK healthcare training provider, delivering evidence-based programmes that support organisations to meet regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of patient safety. The company is recognised as the leading UK mandatory classroom training provider, training around 50,000 healthcare professionals each year via over 80 accredited classroom and e-learning courses and a network of over 50 UK-venues, as well as in-house training for employers.
Backed by August Equity, Impact Futures Group is a market leading learning provider across social care, health, childcare, education and other people-centred sectors in the UK. Offering specialised workplace apprenticeships, skills development programmes and a unique Career Builders and Skills Builders model, the company is focused on delivering highly personal training pathways for the people and organisations that change lives.
This strategic acquisition provides a significant opportunity for the future growth of both businesses, to expand on Impact’s recent acquisition of Caring for Care. As market leading providers of mandatory training within their core sectors, their shared values of delivering high quality training to the social care, health, and education sector provides a solid foundation for the combined entity to expand its capabilities, helping more workers to discover their potential and deliver a more qualified, experienced and resilient workforce.
RSM advised The Health & Safety Group throughout the sale process, led by Clodagh Tunney and working with Clare Martin, Sebastian Bender and Prem Woods. The Health & Safety Group was also advised by national law firm Freeths.
Adrian Simpson, Managing Director of The Health & Safety Group said: “We’re delighted to be joining forces with Impact Futures Group - we were struck from the outset about the exciting cultural and strategic fit. Their established experience as a leading provider of specialised skills development programmes and personalised training across industries strongly aligns with our own expertise, making a solid foundation for future growth. I’d like to thank the team at RSM for providing valuable advice and support throughout the transaction process, helping to secure a successful outcome and strong future for The Health & Safety Group. I look forward to seeing all that the business achieves as a result of this acquisition.”
Clodagh Tunney, Corporate Finance Partner at RSM UK added: “It’s been a pleasure to advise The Health & Safety Group on its strategic sale to Impact Future Group. Their shared expertise and ambitions make them an ideal match to support future growth efforts, as they continue to deliver vital training services to the recruitment industry. I’d like to wish the team every success as they reach this pivotal step in their growth journey.”
