RSM receives charity accolade for long term support

RSM has received a long-serving accolade from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to commemorate over 15 years of support.

Since 2001, RSM has partnered with the RNLI to sponsor the annual golf day which has raised in excess of £150,000 of much-needed funds for the lifeboat charity.

This year’s event saw 25 teams of four from across the Yorkshire business community compete for the prestigious RNLI title. The winning team was Stainforth Construction, closely followed by Newly Weds Foods in second place.

The event, held at Moor Allerton golf club in Leeds, included a competitive game of golf and a ‘beat the pro’ competition followed by a raffle. In total, the event raised over £10,000 which will help support the 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland.

Neil Sevitt, partner at RSM and long-standing supporter of the RNLI who also received recognition for his support on the day, said:

‘It was such as surprise, but a real honour, to receive a certificate of thanks for our continued support.

‘The RNLI golf day brings together the Yorkshire business community and provides a great opportunity to network, have fun and raise money for a great cause. Despite the baking heat, this year’s event was a great success and we look forward to the event in 2017 and beyond.
