RSM complete endurance charity challenges on behalf of Asthma UK

Team members from RSM in Chester have taken on two endurance challenges to raise over £1,500 for Asthma UK.

At the weekend, an RSM team led by partner Simon Moulton, took on Mount Snowdon – walking 3.4 miles to reach the Snowdon Mountain Railway station at the 3,560 ft. summit in 2 hours 20 minutes, before taking on the 4 mile descent.

In addition, RSM’s Simon Moulton, Cat Ashworth and Will Simpson were joined by clients’ Josh Metcalfe of Carmet Tug Company Limited and Mike Green of City Metals (UK) Limited earlier in the month to complete a Tough Mudder event at Cholmondeley Castle. The team took on a 12 mile course of 26 obstacles, plus 500,000 litres of mud, to kick start the fundraising efforts.

The RSM team took on both challenges to raise funds for Asthma UK to help reduce the risk of asthma, in memory of a former and much missed RSM colleague, Simon Mines, who passed away last year.

Simon Moulton, accounting and business advisory partner at RSM in Chester, said:

‘Taking part in both events has been an opportunity to remember Simon.'

‘Each event was different but both took endurance, team working and determination to succeed. We travelled almost 20 miles in total and every step of the way we have been overwhelmed by the support of our colleagues and clients. This support is greatly appreciated as it will go some way to helping prevent, and ultimately, cure asthma through the great work at Asthma UK.’
