The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA) has named RSM chief economist Joe Brusuelas as the winner of its 2020 Middle Market Thought Leader of the Year award. Joe was honoured for his significant contributions to the middle market globally.
Established in 2009, the award recognises those individuals operating in the middle market financial community. Their new ideas inspire and add value to the marketplace whilst their contributions add to the body of knowledge serving as a foundation for AM&AA’s education programs.
Whilst based out of the US, Joe spends much of his time in the UK commentating on pan-European and wider global monetary policy and economics. Joe provides a macroeconomic perspective to help clients anticipate and address the unique issues and challenges facing their businesses and the industries in which they operate.
With 20 years’ experience in finance and economics, Joe specialises in analysing monetary policy, labour markets, fiscal policy, economic indicators and consumers.
Prior to joining RSM in July 2014, he spent four years as a senior economist at Bloomberg and the Bloomberg Briefs newsletter group. As co-founder of the award-winning Bloomberg Economic Brief, Joe was named as one of the 26 economists to follow by the Huffington Post.
