RSM acts on prominent legal deal in the North West

RSM’s financial due diligence team has advised professional services specialist, Knights 1759, on its acquisition of leading Manchester law firm, Turner Parkinson.

Turner Parkinson was established in 1995 and has grown rapidly. It has a client base of entrepreneurs, corporates, private equity houses and small, mid-cap and emerging companies; and it's revenues for the year to 30 April 2018 were £8.5m.

Knights 1759 is the UK’s fastest growing professional services business delivering specialist advice across all areas of commercial law. The deal brings together two complementary professional services organisations - strengthening Knights’ North West presence and enhancing its regional team.

The financial due diligence team at RSM, led by Stephen Green with support from Helen Eales, acted for Knights on the transaction.

Stephen Green, head of financial due diligence for the Northern region at RSM, said: ‘It was great to provide Knights with support on this strategic deal - ensuring the senior management team could act with confidence during the short completion timeframe.

‘The deal delivers real synergies between both businesses and will help to accelerate growth, target new markets and support future innovation within a highly competitive regional legal market.’
