143 jobs saved at Knowsley-based energy company

Staff and contracts of a Knowsley-based energy company has been transferred out of administration in a deal which saves around 143 jobs.

Christopher Ratten and Jeremy Woodside of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed Joint Administrators to Warmer Energy Services on 18 October 2019.

Warmer Energy Services is a leading provider of installation, replacement and maintenance of energy efficient systems to landlords and commercial organisations with offices in Knowsley in Liverpool, and Cradley Heath in the West Midlands.

The Company suffered from challenging market conditions which put pressure on cashflow and led to the directors placing the Company into administration.

Following the appointment of Administrators, the Warmer Energy staff and contracts were transferred to Liberty, which provides services in the gas, repairs and maintenance, renewable energy, mechanical and electrical engineering, and construction sectors.

Chris Ratten, RSM restructuring advisory partner and joint administrator, said:

‘The deal not only saves 143 jobs, but it delivers continuity of service to Warmer Energy customers and allows the skilled workforce to move forward to the next stage under new ownership.’
