RSM’s M&A and private equity team have advised on the sale of Michael J Field Consulting Actuaries (MJFCA) to XPS Pensions Group.

About the client

MJFCA are a highly regarded SIPP and SSAS provider based in Manchester. MJFCA’s expertise and high quality tailored products and services will strengthen XPS Pension Groups offering and provide the group with further coverage in the North West region. XPS are the largest pure pension consultancy in the UK specialising in actuarial, covenant, investment consulting and administration. The two companies share a similar client base and services, which will allow for synergies to be established and provide additional support for the already strong operating group of XPS.

RSM's Solution

RSM were engaged as lead advisors to assist the shareholders in achieving their sale aspirations and to identify a strategic investment partner that would ensure clients would be in safe hands. XPS were selected as they operate in the same, high service sector of the SSAS / SIPP market and because of the synergies they could offer MJF as part of a larger group.
