The changing role of Human Resources to meet today's business challenges

It has often been said that in the past the HR function was designed by the HR function itself, but now is being designed by the business and its employees as organisations transform around their strategic objectives.

Research carried out by RSM’s Consulting team highlights, that in a fast paced changing world, the structure, focus and role of HR needs to adapt quickly to be able to service organisational need. The traditional ‘transactional’ model has long been replaced by a more proactive and organisation centric role, but even this approach is is starting to be replaced by what we would define as the primary role of HR – that of being in charge of the ‘employee experience'.
