Broadening your horizons
At RSM, we are seeing a significant number of organisations starting to feel increasing pressures from funders that wish to reduce donations or that want to see more effective justification for the funding they provide.
In the past organisations have been able to address challenges to funding through focusing on the human outcomes but this approach lacks the strength needed to meet the increasing use of project appraisal by funders. We expect these tools to become more widespread in the wake of the Cabinet Office’s 2009 paper advocating the use of Social Return on Investment ('SROI') to measure social impact and the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.
