In the UK, Black History Month (BHM) is celebrated in October and recognises the considerable contribution black people have made in the UK and beyond.
We are encouraging our staff to explore and reflect on the rich tapestry of black people’s’ experiences and cultures, with a series of educational and fun activities as part of RSM's commitment to Listen. Educate. Act.
Worldwide, notable figures such as Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela have brought pride and motivation to black communities, with powerful messages that instil hope.
There are lesser-known but equally impactful people that have broken the mould to become influential. We'll be profiling a few throughout Black History Month, noting how they relate to the RSM values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork and Stewardship.
