Jersey offshore seminar | The impact of tax changes for non-resident buy to let and commercial property investors

There are many challenges that face trustees and one of the main ones is keeping up to date with changes in tax laws.  There have been a raft of changes which came into effect on 6 April this year and more changes will apply from 6 April 2020. Join us for an update on the various changes and how these will impact what you need to do as trustees and directors of property holding entities.

On Wednesday 26 June Rachel de Souza and Peter Graham will take you through the finer details of how the UK taxes non-residents on the income and capital gains from UK property. We will also be looking at how property investors can claim relief for expenditure they incur. Sophie St John will take the opportunity to touch on the legal ramifications a trust/trustee might face when a beneficiary gets divorced.

This session will be a practical session highlighting the particular issues faced by non-resident trustees.
