Gift Aid: Current issues - the view from HMRC webinar

Join us on Friday 8 February 2019 to hear from HMRC and our tax team on how Gift Aid rules are changing and how your charity can help maintain the integrity of Gift Aid.

While charities are encouraged to claim Gift Aid where possible, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) are keen to ensure that Gift Aid is claimed correctly. Charities are being asked to help eradicate invalid Gift Aid donations and claims, thereby preserving this valuable source of income for the charity sector.

In this seminar, we will hear from HMRC on their views on the common issues / errors they are seeing in Gift Aid claims, and the steps that charities might take to ensure that their claims are correct and are processed quickly without the need for intervention by HMRC. 

The webinar will also provide an update on recent and proposed changes to the Gift Aid rules, and will outline the key features of best practice in terms of a Gift Aid risk management framework for charities that wish to be able to demonstrate that they are doing all they can to ensure compliance with the regulations.
