Change & Engagement Manager – Data Automation and Information Management

RSM is embarking on two connected transformation programmes that will reshape how the firm handles its data and information. Our data automation programme will reshape how data is received, managed and stored across the firm. Alongside it, our information management modernisation programme is moving us from network folders to Microsoft 365 as the firm's single, governed platform for documents and information. Together they will change where our people store information, how teams collaborate and who is accountable for it, and they are central to making RSM an AI-ready firm. As Change & Engagement Manager, you will lead the people side of both programmes: driving awareness, engagement and adoption of new ways of working, and helping colleagues build new habits, not just learn new systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced change professional with a strong track record of leading business transformation in complex environments. You'll work collaboratively with programme, business and technical teams to embed sustainable change, manage risks and maximise adoption across multiple service lines. You'll bring a joined-up view of change across both programmes, making sure colleagues experience one coherent journey rather than competing initiatives. Combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, you'll build trusted relationships, influence senior stakeholders and support leaders across Audit, Tax and Consulting to deliver meaningful and lasting change throughout the organisation.

You will make an impact by:

• Build trusted partnerships across service lines, core functions and delivery teams, acting as a strategic adviser to business enablement leads and key stakeholders to drive alignment, influence decision-making, and support successful user adoption and engagement.

• Lead the development and delivery of change, readiness and adoption strategies across the data automation and information management programmes, joining up change activity, communications and timelines so that impacts on each service line are understood as a whole. This includes the move away from network folders and clear guidance for colleagues on what to store where and for how long, ensuring business impacts are understood and managed, stakeholders are engaged, and new systems, processes and ways of working are successfully embedded across the firm.

• Accountable for the development of training and support materials for both programmes, covering new data automation processes as well as saving, finding and sharing documents, records management and responsible Copilot use, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of delivery risks, dependencies, change activities and key decision points.

• Drive operational excellence and digital enablement by championing standardisation, automation, self-service and AI adoption, and by embedding the governed Microsoft 365 information model into everyday work, with a focus on user experience, data integrity, clear ownership, access control, retention, compliance and building trusted information that supports AI and Copilot.

• Lead, mentor and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and shared ownership while building capability and role clarity to enable high performance, confidence and professional growth.

• Define and track adoption measures across both programmes, such as baseline and retest of common user tasks, system and workspace usage, placement compliance and user feedback, and use this evidence to inform stage-gate decisions and refine the approach.

• Assess the cumulative impact of change on teams and plan activity to avoid change fatigue, particularly where the same service lines are affected by both programmes

• Data & Information Management Awareness – Understands the people impact of data automation and modern information management, including ownership, access, classification, retention and records lifecycle. Has supported adoption of automation tools and Microsoft 365, SharePoint or a similar platform. Experience of preparing information for AI tools such as Copilot is desirable.
