I started at RSM in 2018 on the school leaver apprenticeship programme in VAT. I have had a huge amount of support during my time, which helped me pass my CTA exams and progress to manager. RSM is very flexible in allowing people to pursue the career path that suits them. For me, I was able to transfer from the Reading office to London to focus on a more national role within the team. I've gained lots of varied experience at RSM, working with all different types and sizes of clients. I've even been given the opportunity to go on multiple client secondments.

When I started off in the profession, I have to confess I shared the misconception that tax is dull. Now, decades later, I'm happy to admit I was wrong! I've spent the last 17 years at RSM, and it's a privilege to work at a firm I love in an area I find incredibly interesting. There are so many opportunities within our Team Tax, from deep technical specialisms to broader client relationship leaders, that suit all kinds of career aspirations. We also have a sense of teamwork that attracts our people and clients alike.
